Over the past 10 years, Monrovia, CA-based Trader Joe’s has polled customers on their favorite items to buy in-store.
While most of the results skew toward the chain’s quirkier exclusive items like Cookie Butter, Mandarin Orange Chicken and, of course, Two-buck Chuck, the past few years in produce have been less-than-unique.
Bananas have topped the list as Trader Joe’s customers’ favorite produce for the past three years.
There’s a new winner in the 10th Annual Trader Joe’s Customer Choice Awards:

Introduced in May of 2017, Teeny Tiny Avocados are a single-serving option hailed by the Millennial-loving press as the best thing since toast—or the best thing ON toast, if you’re following Millennial trends.
The runners-up in this year’s list include:
- Bananas
- Avocados
- Shaved Brussels Sprouts
- Honeycrisp apples.
