San Diego Farms names head grower

SAN MARCOS, CA — August 31, 2026 — San Diego Farms BB #:349027, home to Fresh Origins and BrightFresh Microgreens, today announced the appointment of Diego Rivera as Head Grower.

Rivera will report to Tiago Castro, VP of Operations, and will oversee growing operations with a focus on quality, consistency, productivity and continuous improvement across the farm.

Rivera brings more than two decades of experience in agronomy, horticulture and controlled-environment agriculture. His career has included technical and leadership roles across both traditional agriculture and advanced growing systems, including serving as Master Grower at AeroFarms, where he helped lead commercial-scale vertical farming operations and worked at the intersection of plant science, technology and production.

More recently, Rivera served as a CEA Senior Manager with NEOM-TOPIAN in Saudi Arabia, further expanding his experience in large-scale, next-generation food production systems.
