MountainKing announces retail contest for red potatoes

HOUSTON, TX (June 6, 2023) – MountainKing BB #:105949 is spicing up the selling season of its summertime Red varieties with a limited-time retail sales contest which rewards produce managers for sales and creative merchandising of the brand’s Reds and boil-ready Seafood B-Reds.

MountainKing will award produce managers for achieving the highest percentage of potato sales with any of the Red bags and/or building the best-looking display with Reds or boil-ready Seafood B-Reds.

First-place winners will receive a Blackstone 28” XL Grill with Hood, second-place winners receive a $250 VISA gift card, and third-place winners receive a $100 VISA gift card. Every participant will receive a $25 Amazon gift card. Winners will be chosen by each chain store’s buying department starting July 7, 2023.

To enter MountainKing’s Great American Red Sale, produce managers must merchandise the company’s 3 lb. Reds, 5 lb. Reds or 3 lb. Seafood B-Reds. Minimum eligibility is one feature ad promoting the MountainKing Red variety of choice. Limited supplies are available.

MountainKing will provide participating grocers with high-graphic, half- and full-size display bins known for generating faster turns while reducing labor costs due to less frequent re-stocking.

Support also includes tailored social media posts and point-of-sale cards featuring themed recipes such as Patriot Red, White and Blue Potato Salad, All-American Red Potato Salad, Parmesan Roasted Red Potatoes and Lemon Chive Red Potatoes.
