The Center for Produce Safety (CPS) BB #:339618 is proud to release its 2026 Research Priorities, developed in collaboration with industry and scientific experts to target critical knowledge gaps.
CPS also announces its Call for Proposals, inviting researchers to submit innovative, science-driven preliminary proposals that align with these priorities. We encourage the research community to join us in advancing produce safety. Full details are available on the CPS website.
“Industry stakeholders have shared their top food safety questions, and the Center for Produce Safety is committed to funding research that delivers clear, practical outcomes that ensure consumer confidence in the food that nourishes our families and communities,” said Suresh DeCosta, Chair, CPS Technical Committee, and Director of Food Safety for Lipman Family Farms.
“We take pride in what fresh produce growers, shippers, fresh-cut processors, distributors, restaurants and retailers do each day to provide millions of servings of safe, nutritious produce. We invite scientists to partner with us in advancing solutions that would continue to reduce food safety risk.”
