“I was born into the industry and apart from a few outside stints, have been doing this in some form or fashion my whole life. My first job was repacking hot peppers which instilled both a work ethic and a healthy reminder to always wash your hands!

“While I never set out specifically to become CEO, the experience I gained and the responsibilities I assumed over those early years made it a natural progression.

“The transition from Craig Slate to myself had been in progress for a couple of years. It led to a smooth transition between the two of us, but also a relatively soft landing as I took on functional responsibilities over time.”
