ZAG Technical Services shares travel cybersecurity tips

San Jose, Calif., July 11, 2023 – Summer is upon us and with it comes vacation travel and an increase in time spent on public networks. ZAG Technical Services, BB #:365534 an award-winning strategic IT consulting firm and the leading IT security provider in agribusiness is sharing pro tips for improving tech security while on the go.

According to The Vacationers, nearly 219 million American adults plan to travel for work or pleasure this summer. While vacation plans may vary greatly, one common reality for travelers is their plan to bring along a smart phone or tablet. More time spent on public networks when traveling brings with it a greater risk of cybersecurity and malware attacks.

To help protect your tech while on the go, whether for vacation or business travel, ZAG has published an easy-to-share handout containing pro tips for securing your information and devices, such as how to recognize online dangers, unsecured networks and the risk of leaving your devices unattended, including in private hotel rooms. “If you are traveling for work or pleasure, it is imperative to understand the cyber risks in new environments,” said Patrick Day, director of client strategy at ZAG.

“One of our goals as a strategic IT partner is to empower tech users to be better informed and have the knowledge they need to avoid cyber threats and keep their data safe. Just simply reminding everyone to check your tech before and after travel and protect your tech during travel puts tech security front of mind,” he concluded.
