Yowzers – this pepper brings the sweet heat

I’m a big fan of getting to try all kinds of new produce coming to market, so when Mastronardi Produce BB #:115453 asked to send me some new items to try, you know I’m all over it.

Turns out, they sent us Yowzers. Lots and lots of Yowzers, a pepper that looks a lot like a mini sweet pepper, but packs a spicy punch.

I’ve tried them before — they were in a goody box of peppers sent to me back in the fall. They make excellent pepper poppers with bacon and cream cheese.

This time, I did a few different things. First, I Put them on pho — excellent choice. I also threw them on a taco. Uli and I made a little something special, too, but you’re going to have to wait for the next video for that reveal.

This time, Ike and I decided to try to recreate this red jalapeno sauce my neighbor left on my porch.
