PRESS RELEASE Wal-Mart de Mexico, S.A.B. de C. V. (BMV: WALMEX) BB #:143789 announces to its shareholders as well as to the public in general that the Federal Economic Competition Commission (COFECE) notified its majority shareholder, Walmart Inc. (NYSE: WMT),
its opposition to the acquisition of Cornershop Inc.

We are analyzing the scope of this resolution and the measures we will adopt, since we are sure that this operation is positive for the competitive environment and for the consumer, and that it drives the development of eCommerce in Mexico.
