USDA files PACA actions against three companies May 18, 2026

The three firms allegedly failed to pay produce sellers $3.3 million, $1 million, and $816,000, respectively, in violation of the PACA.

Washington, D.C., May 18, 2026 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has filed administrative complaint against three produce companies.

Los Angeles Produce Distributors LLC BB #:332163, operating from California, allegedly failed to make prompt payment to 32 produce sellers in the amount of $3,339,606 from May 2024 through March 2025, in violation of the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA).

Los Angeles Produce Distributors will have an opportunity to request a hearing. Should USDA find the company committed repeated and flagrant violations, it would be barred from the produce industry as a licensee for three years, or two years with the posting of a USDA-approved surety bond. Furthermore, its principals could not be employed by or affiliated with any PACA licensee for two years, or one year with the posting of a USDA-approved surety bond.

Ingles Produce, Inc. BB #:276372 operating from Florida, allegedly failed to make prompt payment to 10 produce sellers in the amount of $1,018,332 from August 2023 through December 2025, in violation of the PACA.

Ingles Produce will have an opportunity to request a hearing. Should USDA find the company committed repeated and flagrant violations, it would be barred from the produce industry as a licensee for three years, or two years with the posting of a USDA-approved surety bond. Furthermore, its principals could not be employed by or affiliated with any PACA licensee for two years, or one year with the posting of a USDA-approved surety bond.

Williams Produce, LLC, operating from South Carolina, allegedly failed to make prompt payment to 14 produce sellers in the amount of $816,749 from July 2023 through February 2025, in violation of the PACA.

Williams Produce will have an opportunity to request a hearing. Should USDA find that the company committed repeated and flagrant violations, it would be barred from the produce industry as a licensee for three years, or two years with the posting of a USDA-approved surety bond. Furthermore, its principals could not be employed by or affiliated with any PACA licensee for two years, or one year with the posting of a USDA-approved surety bond.
