Washington, D.C., May 13, 2026 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has filed an administrative complaint against Ganfer Fresh LLC BB #:374990.
The company, operating out of Arizona, allegedly failed to make payment promptly to 36 produce sellers in the amount of $3,775,383 from May 2024 through February 2025, in violation of the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA).
Ganfer Fresh will have an opportunity to request a hearing. Should USDA find that the company committed repeated and flagrant violations, it would be barred from the produce industry as a licensee for three years, or two years with the posting of a USDA-approved surety bond. Furthermore, its principals could not be employed by or affiliated with any PACA licensee for two years, or one year with the posting of a USDA-approved surety bond.
USDA also has filed an administrative complaint against L Produce LLC, d/b/a Leonardo’s Produce of Detroit BB #:162215.
The company, operating out of Michigan, allegedly failed to make prompt payment to 13 produce sellers in the amount of $819,366 from November 2024 through April 2025, in violation of the PACA.
L Produce LLC will have an opportunity to request a hearing. Should USDA find that the company committed repeated and flagrant violations, it would be barred from the produce industry as a licensee for three years, or two years with the posting of a USDA-approved surety bond. Furthermore, its principals could not be employed by or affiliated with any PACA licensee for two years, or one year with the posting of a USDA-approved surety bond.
