Tops parent promotes produce director to oversee merged stores

Jeff Cady, previously director of produce and floral for Tops Friendly Markets BB #:103173 is the new Vice President of Produce and Floral for both Tops and Price Chopper/Market 32 BB #:104206 stores.
The companies, which formally merged in the fall, now operate about 300 stores under the Tops, Price Chopper, Market 32, and Market Bistro banners. The merged companies are based in Schenectady, NY, and operate under the Northeast Grocery Inc. umbrella.
According to a company statement, Cady will serve as part of the company’s Shared Services Center, which supports both legacy Tops and Price Chopper/Market 32 stores.
“His responsibilities will include communicating and assisting with the execution of key business objectives, developing business strategies, and overseeing projects for the produce and floral operations,” the statement said.
Cady has been with Tops for the past 32 years.
