Lori Taylor brings The Produce Moms’ practical approach to feeding families to the national cooking series, preparing a one-skillet meal for less than $3 per serving

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – October 1, 2026 – The Produce Moms announced that Founder & CEO Lori Taylor joined U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for the latest episode of The Real Food Show, preparing an affordable one-skillet meal while sharing practical ways families can get more fruits and vegetables on the table.

HHS released the episode September 30 as part of the cooking series hosted by Secretary Kennedy.

“Healthy eating should be simple, affordable, and practical for every American family,” said Secretary Kennedy. “We are showing families how to turn everyday pantry staples into real meals, stretch their grocery dollars, and take greater control over what they eat.”

The Real Food Show was launched by Secretary Kennedy in July 2026 as an HHS cooking series designed to make healthy eating more practical and affordable for American families. Each episode pairs simple recipes with the updated Dietary Guidelines for Americans, with an emphasis on real, whole-food ingredients, basic kitchen equipment and meals that cost less than $5 per serving whenever possible.

“Being invited to cook with Secretary Kennedy was an incredible opportunity, but what mattered most to me was representing the moms who are trying to get a good meal on the table every night,” said Taylor. “That means using what you have, staying within your budget and not overthinking it. If we can help families get more fruits and vegetables on the table in a way that actually works for their lives, that’s the work I want to keep doing.”

Taylor’s appearance on The Real Food Show builds on more than a decade of work connecting consumers with fresh produce, agriculture and the people behind their food. The Produce Moms was created in part to give produce brands, farms and manufacturers a stronger voice with consumers, using approachable content and education to make fruits and vegetables more recognizable, relevant and accessible to families.

That reach has expanded through The Produce Moms Podcast, where Taylor brings growers, retailers, foodservice leaders, policymakers and other leaders in food and agriculture into conversations designed to connect their work with the consumers they ultimately serve.
