Surge Transportation files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection

On July 24, 2023, Surge Transportation Inc, BB #:348411 with headquarter operations in Jacksonville, FL, filed a petition for bankruptcy under Chapter 11 In the United States Bankruptcy Court for the middle district of Florida, under case number 23-bk-01712. 

The petition filed noted 1,000 to 5,000 creditors. Estimated assets were reported to range between $10 million and $50 million, while estimated debts were reported to range between the same. 

Court documents show a preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 27.

The attorney handling the case is noted as Bradley R. Markey of Thames Markey, located at 50 North Laura St., Suite 1600, Jacksonville, FL 32202.
