July 9, 2026 — Starfish, the network behind modern supply chain intelligence for the food industry, today announced Natalie Hunter has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer.
Hunter brings more than 16 years of experience helping global commodity supply chains build traceability programs that strengthen responsible sourcing, sharpen operations, and create measurable business value.
In leadership roles at New Era Partners and the Marine Stewardship Council, she advised many of the world’s largest companies on traceability strategy, built proprietary systems, and brought together technology providers, industry groups, and certification bodies to solve complex, cross-border traceability challenges.
Her approach aligns closely with Starfish’s founding philosophy: that traceability is a value engine, not just a compliance checkbox.
While regulations like FSMA 204 are accelerating adoption industry-wide, Hunter has long argued that trusted, connected data does far more than satisfy regulators — it helps companies improve product quality and safety, verify sustainability claims, manage risk, and make sharper business decisions.
As COO, Hunter will lead Starfish’s operations, customer success, and strategic partnerships as the company enters its next phase of growth, while helping advance its mission to make traceability simpler, more connected, and more valuable across global supply chains.
“Natalie brings an exceptional combination of strategic vision, implementation experience, and industry leadership,” said Wiggs Civitillo, Founder & CEO of Starfish. “She understands that the future of traceability isn’t just about compliance — it’s about creating better outcomes for businesses, trading partners, and consumers. We couldn’t be more excited to have her leading this next chapter with us.”
