May 21, 2026 Pompano Beach, FL – Southern Specialties, Inc. BB #:142198 announces the company has started shipping Michigan asparagus.
This will mark the fourth season the company is shipping one of the most anticipated crops of the season.
“The Michigan deal has grown to become an important part of the year round asparagus programs we are known for,” said Charlie Eagle, vice president of business development. “The fresh Spring appeal of this asparagus is amazing!”
“Favorable weather is helping produce very good quality product this season,” said Carlos Solf, vice president of procurement for Southern Specialties “We anticipate good supplies into the third week of June.”
Southern Specialties ships Michigan asparagus from Kent City, MI, and the company’s facility in Pompano Beach, FL.
Southern Specialties is a grower, importer, processor and shipper of a variety of specialty products grown in Central America, South America, Mexico, Canada and the U.S. The company distributes from its Pompano Beach, Florida headquarters, and facilities in San Luis, Arizona and Kent City, Michigan.
