NEW YORK – Southern Specialties, Inc. BB #:142198 Pompano Beach, FL, displayed several new items at the New York Produce Show.
It also plans to finish the expansion of its Pompano Beach warehouse by the end of the first quarter of 2020, topping out at about 175,000 square feet, said Charlie Eagle, vice president, business development.
He said Southern Specialties has a handful of new items headed into 2020, including:
-Southern Selects brand sweet mini peppers in red, yellow and orange. Eagle said they are grown year-round in greenhouses in Guatemala;
-Southern Selects brand trimmed green beans in new packaging that includes recipes;
-Sweet baby broccoli, grown year-round in Guatemala; and
-Expanding the organic purple and white asparagus lines.
