Review: Is this salad kit better than a burger?

I saw the Better than a Burger Salad Kit from Gold Coast Packing at the Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Innovations show in Charlotte.
I couldn’t take it safely away from the show to try on my own, so I had them send me a few samples.
First of all, it’s seven servings and sold at Costco, I believe, so plenty of salad for my family. Secondly, we love salad kits. They’re convenient and they offer an affordable restaurant experience. I love a great salad, but my own ideas at home trend more toward what my grandma serves – various chopped up vegetables with bottles of dressing to choose from.
Would I rather have a carefully crafted and blended recipe, taste-tested and developed by chefs? Absolutely. Am I going to look it up and put in that work every time? Hard pass.
The rest of the U.S. is a big fan of salad kits, too. According to research by Brainy Insights, the packaged salad market is expected to continue growing at an annual rate of 8.4 percent, and valued at more than $27 billion by 2030, up from $12.1 billion in 2021.
In any event, we tried the kit for dinner, and while I don’t know if I’d call it BETTER than a burger, it goes great with burgers. I put the video up on TikTok and the first commenter said they broke up pieces of burger in theirs.
So it sounds like the meat eaters and salad eaters are deciding to collaborate on this one.
