The Association of Agricultural Producers Guilds of Peru (AGAP) indicated that so far in January agricultural exports are losing close to $200 million, as reported by TV Peru Noticias.
In light of this, AGAP asks that authorities unblock the roads so that their products leave through the port of Callao, since the blockade of roads such as the Panamericana Sur prevents producers from Ica, Arequipa and other regions from moving their products to the port of Callao to send them abroad.

Likewise, the president of AGAP points out that Peru’s reputation as a safe food exporter is being damaged, in response to which he rejected the acts of vandalism and asks the government to restore public order.
The Association of Exporters (ADEX) indicated that not all agro-exporters are working at 100 percent of their productive capacity, but at 90, 60 and up to 10 percent precisely because they cannot get their products to the foreign market.
