Nickey Gregory Company names new president as founder retires

ATLANTA (May 13, 2026) – Nickey Gregory Company (NGC) BB #:164545, the Atlanta-based wholesale produce distributor, has named Scott Chapman president as founder Nickey Gregory retires after more than four decades building one of the Southeast’s most respected produce businesses.

The leadership team, customer relationships, and day-to-day operations remain in place. Chapman leads the company alongside the senior leadership team, including Executive Vice President Marianna Gregory Skrine.

Chapman joined Nickey Gregory Company in 2007 as vice president of sales, a role he held for nearly two decades before being elevated to president in December 2025.

Earlier in his career, he spent more than 15 years with Kroger, including time as a store manager, giving him a perspective on the produce business that spans both wholesale and retail.

“Nickey built something rare, a business where trust is real and a handshake still means something,” Chapman said. “It is an honor to lead this company, and my commitment is to protect and build on everything he created.
