Joe Erlinger, President of McDonald’s USA, said June 3 that the chain will return Snack Wraps as a permanent menu item starting July 10.

He said customer demand has been evident on social media as well as a petition on Change.org.

“To everyone who tweeted, posted and pleaded, this one’s for you. You made this moment possible. And now the world knows, the Snack Wrap is officially back,” Erlinger said.

The Snack Wrap features a new McCrispy Strip topped with shredded lettuce and shredded cheese, wrapped in a soft flour tortilla.

It comes in two flavors, McDonald’s says:

  • Spicy: Bold, zesty and unapologetically fiery – our Spicy Snack Wrap brings the heat with a habanero kick that fans know and love from the Spicy McCrispy sandwich.
  • Ranch: Smooth, rich and irresistibly savory – our Ranch Snack Wrap delivers a satisfying burst of cool ranch goodness, with hints of garlic and onion.

The Snack Wrap was phased out of menus in 2016.

McDonald’s released a website called Snack Wrap Files for fans of the item.
