Feeding America names IFPA leader as Chief Government Relations Officer

March 5, 2026 — Feeding America BB #:209573 has named Rebeckah Freeman Adcock as chief government relations officer. Freeman Adcock has nearly thirty years of experience in policy and government, shaping critical strategies for the food and agriculture communities.

“Her ability to turn policy into progress will help this powerful network ensure everyone can access the nutritious food they deserve and that communities across the country can thrive.”

Reporting to McDonough, Freeman Adcock will lead Feeding America’s public policy and government relations efforts, prioritizing legislative strategies that reflect the real needs of people facing hunger. She will lead a team working alongside the Feeding America network of food banks, Congress and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to advance practical, nonpartisan solutions that protect access to vital federal food and nutrition programs like The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Previously, Freeman Adcock served as vice president of U.S. government relations at the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) BB #:378962. In recognition of her leadership at IFPA, she was named one of The Packer’s 2025 Top 25 Women in Produce.

As a senior advisor at USDA, she counseled the secretary on policy and operations while leading national regulatory reform efforts, coordinating federal disaster responses, and managing the president’s Task Force on Agriculture & Rural Prosperity. She also served as administrator of the USDA Rural Business-Cooperative Service, where she oversaw a $2 billion annual portfolio of loans and grants to bolster rural economies.

Freeman Adcock currently serves on the USDA-USTR Agricultural Trade Advisory Committee and sits on the boards of both business and non-profit organizations.

She holds a law degree from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Resource Management from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
