Furthermore, the figures represent an increase of 5.7 percent and 13.3 percent, respectively, compared to the same period in 2024, according to Marca Chile.

“This achievement is possible thanks to the work and innovation of thousands of people across all our regions. We are talking about a vast national value chain, which includes SMEs, service providers, and technology developers that are now strongly projected in the global market,” said Claudia Sanhueza, Undersecretary of International Economic Relations.

Fresh fruit maintained its momentum, recording shipments abroad of $6.041 billion, a 3.3 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

In addition to the leadership of cherries, other products that have boosted the sector’s exports in the time period were plums and kiwifruit. Also notable are the increases in shipments of avocados, apples, pears, nectarines, lemons, sarsaparillas, pomegranates, cranberries, and clementines.

Regarding nuts, the sector has accumulated shipments totaling $463 million, up 59 percent compared to the first seven months of 2024, driven by sustained growth in shipments of hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds, and chestnuts.
