Weekend Interview preview: Zak Laffite, Wonderful Citrus

As president of Wonderful Citrus Cooperative BB #:115157, Zak Laffite is a pro when it comes to all things citrus. But where did his career begin and how did his early roles prepare him to lead at one of the country’s most recognizable companies?

“I’m originally from Honduras, where my family has been involved in farming for three generations. Agriculture has always been a core part of my background, particularly citrus, so my role at Wonderful Citrus feels like a natural extension to my family’s roots. 

“I’ve now been with The Wonderful Company—more specifically, Wonderful Citrus—for nearly 22 years. During that time, the company has evolved tremendously, and it’s never felt like working for just one organization.

“Instead, it’s been like experiencing multiple stages of growth and transformation within the same company, each bringing new energy, opportunities, and challenges that have kept me motivated and engaged throughout my career.”
