Words of wisdom from Jan Berk, the 2019 Women in Produce honoree

CHICAGO–Produce wasn’t the first career for Jan Berk, COO of San Miguel Produce Inc.

The former newspaper woman joined San Miguel Produce full time in 2002, initially focused on the marketing and rebranding of the company’s value-added line, Cut ‘N Clean Greens, the first specialty, dark leafy greens on the market.

Berk shared her journey from media to produce during the Women in Produce celebration breakfast on June 12 at United Fresh, closing her remarks with these words of wisdom:
