Peru sets new milestone in blueberry exports with 42% growth

As the 2024-25 blueberry season winds down, Peru has reached a new milestone with 317,997 tons exported through week 16.

As the 2024-25 blueberry season winds down, Peru has reached a new milestone with 317,997 tons exported through week 16, according to Agraria, citing figures from the sector association, Proarándanos.

This represents a 42 percent increase compared to the previous campaign, proving to be a step forward that reaffirms the position of Peruvian blueberries worldwide.

Of the total volume exported, conventional shipments reached 283,533 tons (representing a 42 percent increase), while organic shipments showed a 51 percent increase.

In overall shipments, the main exporters are Camposol, Hortifrut, and Agrovision Perú. By means of transport, 97 percent of the volume was transported by sea (307,080 tons), followed by air with 3 percent (9,658 tons), and ground transport with the remainder (1,259 tons).
